veterans_support_advice_thumb.pngAt Navigo, we are passionate about supporting individuals who have served in the military.

And we know that veterans have a range of needs that can impact on their mental health.

Between 2020 and 2023, we conducted a research project to explore the unmet needs of veterans in North East Lincolnshire. We recruited 51 local veterans from all three services and interviewed them about their experiences.

From this research we recognised three overall themes around unmet needs: Accessibility, Being Misunderstood and Mistrust. You can read the full research paper here.

We've teamed up with local organisation NEL4Heroes, a peer support service for veterans and ran by veterans. Together, we have compiled our resources to ensure that we know what is available to veterans and how they can access these services in a timely manner.

We also run a regular coffee morning for people associated with the armed forces. You can find details over on our events calendar.
