• Five new staff membership applications and one new community application. All prior checks had been completed. This application was approved by the Membership Board. Brings the totals to 576 staff and 403 community members.
  • The Health and Care Partnership asked if we would like to sponsor a table at the Health and Care Partnership Awards which is to be held at Blundell Park. The sponsorship includes:
    • A 3-course meal for a table of 10 people (2 x sponsor staff, 8 x community members)
    • An invitation for sponsor staff to sit on the panel of judges for awards
    • Company logo displayed on the sponsor banner, which will be featured in all guest arrivals and award winners’ photography
    • Company logo included in the awards brochure, all pre and post award social media advertising etc.
    • This was reviewed at the last reps meeting and scored 8. This was presented to the Membership Board for a final decision, and all present members were happy to approve this sponsorship.
  • Toby Ben-Babatunde gave an update from the Quarter 1 BAME meeting, and said that this month’s meeting was well attended. A key point from the meeting was the zero tolerance posters that were recently put out. The network said the design of the flyer didn’t represent the network and suggested having actual staff pictures on the poster. They also said that the zero tolerance wording should include the word 'racism'. Toby highlighted ongoing support for staff and collaborating on various work streams, including advancing international talent and addressing racism. Toby said the network are in the early stages of organising a multi-cultural diversity event, with details to be shared at a later date.

  • Richard Rudd provided a reps meeting update which was held on 13 March and said that nearly all of the reps attended this meeting. During the meeting they reviewed the action tracker, closing out 18 actions. One ongoing item is the Breakfast Club, with plans to gather feedback via a survey around the best format and time, noting that we wanted to gather staff opinions to see which would best suit our members.

  • Fiona Parker said the Co-production team are planning for Mental Health Awareness Week which takes place from May 12 to May 18, and welcomed any ideas. Fiona confirmed that the theme this year is Community.

  • Jo Keen said that staff wellbeing activities will be starting again from April. Any suggestions can be forwarded to the wellbeing meeting via your wellbeing champion.

  • Julie Gray gave an update on the work plan on behalf of Anna Morgan. Julie said that community members have had opportunity to shape the work plan, and this information was included in the latest Navigo Magazine. All work plans (Corporate and Operational) will be drafted by April, and an update on the work plan including proposed quality objectives will be presented at April’s Membership Board meeting.

  • Simon Beeton provided an update on the Mental Health Sector Network, highlighting the collaborative efforts of various organisations in North East Lincolnshire to improve mental health services. The network has regular meetings to discuss how we can do things better together. These meetings have been going on for around three years and have fostered a steady collaboration between participants, noting that building relationships and trust has taken time. We are starting to move in the right direction and binding together, trusting the process and building the relationships.

  • A slide deck was presented with a summary of the membership refresh. This included the next steps that form the membership work plan, development of the Lived Experience Ambassador role, reps elections, and an update that our youth ambassador Robin Cook is now also a community representative.

  • Janine Smith gave an update on service demand and capacity saying that there has been a significant increase in the number of service users supported by Navigo, growing from approximately 4,500 in 2020 to nearly 9,500 by November 2024.

  • Claire Withers wanted to remind people to complete the training transformation survey that has recently gone out via comms. The team are eager to take action and your insights are invaluable.
