A new five-year strategy has been launched by NAViGO at this week’s Annual General Meeting.
The document sets out our aims between 2023 and 2028, and includes the ambition to maintain our position as ‘an outstanding provider of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services that are co-produced with the people we serve, their carers, our staff and partners’.
It also underlines the importance of building our services around the three pillars of public health: somewhere to live, somewhere to work and someone to love.
The organisation’s visions and values have been refreshed and rewritten, too, after a coproduction process involving service users, staff and the NAViGO membership.
Simon Beeton, NAViGO chief executive, said: “We’re really excited to be able to share these bold plans with service users, staff, carers, community members, partners and the wider North East Lincolnshire community.
“The strategy is not set in stone as we are constantly working alongside stakeholders to improve it, but it gives us an excellent framework to work towards over the next five years.”
The targets included are divided into four categories: Quality, Innovation, People and Partnerships.
Quality is the pledge to deliver the best possible care to people who use our services. Innovation is a promise to continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in mental health service delivery.
The People area covers being an inclusive organisation with a permissive culture, while there is also a commitment to embrace the opportunities of forming Partnerships.
