Got a question about this year's AGM?

You should find the answer here!

Rebecca Adlington on stage at the 2021 NAViGO AGM

Can I attend the AGM in person?

Yes, of course! If you're a staff or community member, you're welcome to join us at Grimsby Auditorium on Thursday 29 September, 2022.

We're also welcoming partner agencies from across North East Lincolnshire.

The day starts at 9AM and runs through until around 4:30PM, with the business part of the meeting beginning at 12:45PM.

Don't worry if you can't stay for a whole day - you're welcome to drop in and out as time allows!

I can’t make it to the Grimsby Auditorium. Can I watch online?

If you already have plans or you can't make it to the venue, we're once again streaming the entire day's seminars and panels. You'll be able to watch along on our YouTube channel or via the NAViGO website.

As well as watching, you'll also be able to vote on the Special Resolution and Project of the Year (see below).

Details and links will follow in mid-September.

What are we voting on?

You will be asked to vote on two matters - a Special Resolution and the Project of the Year.

The Special Resolution suggests an amendment to NAViGO's Articles of Association after the introduction of the charity Nurtrio earlier this year. You can read about the proposed changes in more detail.

The Project of the Year sees staff and community members propose their own ideas and initiatives to benefit service users, staff and the local community. The projects are whittled down to a shortlist, before members learn about and vote for their favourite option at the AGM. We then fund the winning initiative for one year.

See a list of the shortlisted projects, details about what they involve and who they will benefit.

Who can vote on the Special Resolution and the Project of the Year?

Everyone who has signed up to our membership can vote on matters at the AGM. That includes both community and staff members.

Not a member yet? You can sign up online.

How do we vote?

After positive feedback from last year's voting process, we will once again be voting on the Special Resolution and the Project of the Year using a secure and confidential electronic voting system.

All those who are eligible will be sent a link on the morning of the AGM providing them with their voter ID and the online link allowing them to login and cast their votes. The sender of the link will be Choice Voting.

These details are unique to you. Please do not share them with anyone else.

Make sure that you bring your voter ID and voter key details with you if you are attending Grimsby Auditorium.

I’m not very confident with technology. Can I vote in another way?

We understand that some people are hesitant when it comes to using technology - so if you're one of those people, then please don't worry.

If you're coming to the Grimsby Auditorium on the day, our team will be floating around the venue ready to assist you with any queries you might have. They'll even be armed with iPads and can guide you through the process.

The team are always on hand to offer any assistance with technology or answer any questions you might have about the process. Just email navigo.navigomembership@nhs.net.

If you are still unsure, you can request a proxy form and an advance voting form (see below).

I’m unable to vote on the day. How can I vote?

If you're unable to vote on the day for any reason, you can complete two forms ahead of time: a proxy form and an advance voting form.

The proxy form allows you to vote with regards to the Special Resolution. You can vote for it, against it, or withhold your vote, and nominate another member to vote on your behalf. If you don't have anyone to do this for you, you may appoint Anna Morgan, our Director of Corporate Services.

To vote for the Project of the Year, you will need to request an advance voting form. This will allow you to register your vote for your preferred initiative.

If you would like to request a proxy form or an advance voting form, please email info.navigo@nhs.net or use the contact us form. All forms must be submitted to the Corporate Affairs team at NAViGO House, 3-7 Brighowgate, Grimsby, DN32 0QE by 5pm on Tuesday 27 September 2021.

How will I find out the results of the vote?

Voting will close at 1.15PM. The results of the vote on the Special Resolution will be revealed at 3:30PM on the day, with the Project of the Year winner named shortly afterwards.

If you're not at the venue, and not watching the live stream, don't worry. We'll communicate the results on our social media channels, as well as summarising the day in the winter issue of the NAViGO Magazine.

I’ve been nominated for an award. When will I find out if I’ve won?

The winners of the four Chair's Awards and two Community Membership Awards will also be revealed on the day.

This will take place at 3:45PM, immediately after the voting results are announced.

Service areas within NAViGO are also encouraged to create their own display boards in the marketplace area at the Grimsby Auditorium, with membership representatives voting for the best display. The winners of this competition will also receive an award.

What about COVID? Will there be any restrictions in place?

The health and safety of you, our service users and staff is extremely important to us and we will ensure that the venue is risk assessed and COVID safe, just as we do with all of our buildings.

While it is subject to change anyone attending the AGM will be expected to wear a face mask (unless exempt) and comply with social distancing measures.

What else will be happening on the day?

As ever, it will be a jam-packed day!

In the morning we have two seminars - one looking at the transformation in community mental health and another on our official charity, the Gardiner Hill Foundation. This will be followed by a panel focusing on men's mental health and embedding the organisation into the local community.

After lunch, we'll hear from our keynote speaker - former Arsenal and England footballer Paul Merson, who has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health and alcoholism.

And that's without mentioning the awards, voting results, display stands, networking sessions and more that's planned!

Take a look at the full agenda for the day.

How else can I get involved?
