If you are looking for support for a child or young person, please visit our dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services pages.

Some service users might be in a severe mental health crisis and need urgent care and treatment.

Our crisis home treatment team are the front door to NAViGO’s services if you need emergency mental health support.

If you contact us, we will give you a triage mental health assessment at Harrison House to find out how you’re feeling. If you can’t attend Harrison House, we’ll visit you in the community or in your own home to carry out the assessment.

Depending on what support we feel would suit you best, we will arrange for you to get the help you need. This may be a referral on to other services, intensive treatment within your own home or an admission to our inpatient lodges at Harrison House. No matter what it is, we’ll strive to find the support that will stabilise your mental state while being the least restrictive option available.

We’ll make any decisions alongside you, your family and carers, working closely with them to find you the best treatment.

How do I access crisis home treatment?

If you’re in a mental health crisis and need urgent help, call the Single Point of Access on (01472) 256256 and select option 3. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Alternatively, you can call NHS 111 free from a landline or mobile phone.

Our crisis team will arrange for an assessment that will identify the most appropriate treatment for you. Depending on your symptoms, this may be a referral to another NAViGO service, home treatment or admission to our lodges.

You might already be accessing support from one of our services. If so, you should contact your care coordinator first.

We would ask that, wherever possible, you call the Single Point of Access if you’re in a mental health crisis and need urgent help.

However, if this is not possible, you can walk in to Harrison House and go straight to reception where a member of the crisis team will assess you as soon as possible. This is a 24/7 service.

If you are in a mental health crisis, please do not contact us via email. Call us on the phone number above or use our 24/7 walk-in crisis service.

However, if you’d like to contact the Single Point of Access for a non-urgent matter, you can send an email to NAV.MHSinglePointofAccess@nhs.net.

Please note this email address is only monitored Monday and Friday between 9am and 5pm.
