Many people across the country are waiting a very long time for Autism and ADHD assessments. Some adults in North East Lincolnshire have waited up to six years. We know this has been very hard for many people. Because of this, and because of feedback from the neurodivergent community, we have been working on new ways to improve how the service works.
We have been testing a different approach to see if it helps reduce waiting times and gives you quicker access to an assessment.
Our aim is to make an improved way of accessing assessments available to adults during 2026. We understand that waiting can be stressful, and we thank you for your patience. We want to make sure any future system is safe, reliable and easy to use before opening it to everyone.
