Sits on Navigo interview panels
“Being on the interview panel is an opportunity to share my views on potential new employees, seeing if that caring spark is in them that all Navigo staff seem to have.
“My involvement has given me experience of interview settings to help me in the future with any interviews I have to attend. It has also given me a purpose, and helped my self-esteem, mood and motivation to continue with my own recovery.
“If you’re not sure if it’s for you, all I can say is give it a try. All the staff I have ever done interviews with are lovely, instantly putting me at ease. Anything you need the staff are happy to accommodate.”

Involved in focus groups
“During the meetings I feel valued and listened to — my opinion matters, which is such a wonderful feeling. All other staff and volunteers treat me with nothing but respect and it is so hugely appreciated.
"I also sit on interview panels. It makes me feel important – others sitting on the panel not only listen, but they appreciate and respect my views and opinions. The other staff members are always praising me and encouraging me to believe in myself and it warms me knowing that these people think so highly of me.
“Honestly, for anyone wanting to get involved in helping at Navigo, not only is it such a satisfying and heart-warming experience, but the people you work alongside are just the best and will have your back every step of the way.”
