Young people looking for employment could benefit from one of 120 job opportunities at NAViGO.
Created as part of the government’s Kickstart Scheme, we will offer young people aged 16-24 fully-funded work placements for six months.
Offered to young people currently at risk of long-term unemployment and on Universal Credit, the opportunities are provided across a wide range of service areas and roles include everything from domestic support worker posts to admin assistants.
Providing the largest organisational commitment in North East Lincolnshire, NAViGO head of employment and commercial services Jo Keen said: “This is great news for local young people, businesses and the local economy, especially during such difficult times.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer such a wide range of opportunities, not only does it enable us to support people in getting their foot on the employment ladder but it opens the door to local talent and individuals with real potential.”
Launched in September 2020, the Kickstart Scheme aims to connect young people at risk of long-term unemployment with local businesses who can enable them to develop valuable employment skills.
As part of the scheme, the government fully funds the post, paying the wage, National Insurance and pension contributions for 25 hours per week.
The Care Plus Group have been approved as a Kickstart Gateway organisation working with Jobcentre Plus and local employers across North East Lincolnshire to match candidates with placement opportunities.
The first set of NAViGO placements will commence in March 2021.
Anyone interested in the opportunity should contact their Jobcentre work coach to be referred.
